Trener Robotics Joins AMD's Open Robotics Ecosystem at Advancing AI 2026

Trener Robotics participated in AMD's Advancing AI 2026 conference in San Francisco as a founding AI Models and Software partner in AMD's Open Robotics Ecosystem. The event, AMD's flagship AI conference, emphasized Physical AI and robotics this year alongside its broader AI agenda.


During the conference keynote, AMD CEO Lisa Su announced the launch of the AMD Open Robotics Ecosystem, with Trener Robotics named as one of the founding AI Models and Software partners. As part of this partnership, Trener AI models and robot skills run on AMD's Kria System-on-Modules, a family of production-deployable adaptive compute platforms designed for vision AI and robotics applications at the edge. This aligns with Trener's goal of making their AI robotics skills available on all major compute platforms. Together, the partnership focuses on combining AMD's chip capabilities with Acteris to bring intelligent automation to applications that were previously out of reach, including jobs in labor-scarce environments and tasks that are too dangerous or physically demanding for human workers. The partnership also opens the door for Trener's platform that allows developers, system integrators, and end-users to create, deploy, and run AI robotic skills respectively on top of the Kria embedded compute. This is the kind of automation that does not just improve productivity, it makes work safer and more human.

Acteris on AMD Compute

The demonstration below shows Trener AI models and robot skills running on AMD AI compute, a milestone that validates Acteris's ability to deliver Physical AI capabilities across a range of compute platforms and infrastructure.



At the Trener booth, Dr. Asad Tirmizi, CEO and Co-Founder, and Dr. Alejandro Astudillo, VP of R&D, were on the ground giving attendees a live look at how Acteris enables robots to understand, reason, and autonomously execute real-world manufacturing tasks through deployable robot skills. The event drew an estimated 4,000 to 6,000 attendees, with strong representation from Fortune 500 manufacturers and leading robotics companies.

Building on an Open Ecosystem
