Trener Welcomes Robotics Industry Leader Jacob Pascual Pape
Feb 18, 2026

Building on the momentum of its recent $32 million Series A funding, Trener Robotics has added Jacob Pascual Pape to its leadership team as Vice President of Sales. Jacob joins the company during a period of rapid commercial acceleration as Trener Robotics leverages its new capital to scale Physical AI across international industrial markets.
Jacob brings over 20 years of experience in international business development and robotics industry leadership. During a 12-year tenure at Universal Robots, he most recently served as a Regional President and played an important role during the industry shift toward collaborative robots. Jacob was instrumental in spearheading market entry across multiple continents and building the international distribution networks that brought these systems into the manufacturing mainstream. His experience in scaling disruptive categories globally is essential as Trener Robotics brings Physical AI to high mix environments.
For Jacob, the move to Trener Robotics represents the next evolution of accessible technology.
"I joined Trener Robotics to continue democratizing and making automation and robotics accessible to all by reducing complexity," Jacob explained. "Having spent an important part of my career helping to introduce cobots into manufacturing, I believe that Physical AI software is the next revolution in our industry. I am excited to help bridge the gap between what traditional and collaborative robots can do and what manufacturing today needs. The Acteris platform facilitates easy non-complex integration of robot solutions and scaling across high-mix environments."
In his new role, Jacob will lead Trener Robotics’ global go-to-market strategy as the company expands its international reach. He is already laying the groundwork for a robust integrator ecosystem and establishing strategic relationships with leading global robot OEMs, with several key partnerships set to be announced soon. Jacob will be instrumental in establishing the Acteris platform as the intelligent operating system for robotic operations, moving the industry toward production ready AI skills.
Asad Tirmizi, CEO of Trener Robotics, highlighted the impact of the hire:
“Jacob is a heavy hitter in the robotics industry who was instrumental in the global adoption of collaborative robots. Under his leadership at Universal Robots, he drove immense growth and established the high-performing partnership programs that helped define the category. Jacob helped create the market for this technology, and we are confident he will do the same for AI powered robotic technology as we accelerate our commercial reach.”
Jacob holds a Master’s degree from EAE Business School and a degree from the University of Aalborg. His leadership signals a new phase of commercial maturity for Trener Robotics as the company continues to redefine what is possible in automation for industrial robotics.
