AI-Native FANUC Integration with Fluidotronica
Watch how Acteris manages a complete pick-to-pallet production cycle, from vision-guided part picking through to CNC machine tending, cleaning, and organized palletizing.
A precision machining company produces fine mechanical components and complete units for the engineering, pharmaceutical, and electronics industries. Handling both prototype and series production, their operators regularly switch between different part types and geometries, making traditional reprogramming a constant bottleneck.
This deployment was developed by Fluidotronica, an industrial automation specialist in Portugal, using Acteris on a Universal Robots cobot. The application demonstrates how quickly and simply a robot can be deployed to tend a CNC machine without deep-level programming.
The process begins at a vibrating feeder, where Acteris uses 2D/3D vision to identify the position and orientation of individual parts and pick them with a pneumatic gripper. The robot then tends a CNC milling machine autonomously, triggering the pneumatic door and placing the part precisely into the pneumatic vise. Acteris manages the full machine handshake, waiting for the vise closed and door closed signals before the machining cycle begins.
Once machining is complete, the robot performs a targeted air blowoff to clear chips and coolant from the part and vise jaws before moving to the final stage. Finished parts are placed into an organized grid on an outfeed pallet, with Acteris handling the counting and grid mapping automatically so no individual coordinates need to be programmed.
From feeder to finished pallet, this deployment shows how quickly Acteris can be set up to handle a complete CNC machine tending cycle, with the intelligence to manage the full process autonomously.
